Testimonials
"I enjoy volunteering for Neighborhood Hands because I truly get pleasure from serving others. Being involved in this program has educated me about the needs of unhoused people and shown me things our neighbors face that I never thought about before. I also enjoy working with those who created this program, the many volunteers who are there, and our clients. It is a fun group to work with!" – Judie G
"In a way that’s difficult to quantify, Neighborhood Hands achieves so much through their community cleanings by providing everyone an opportunity for a sense of achievement, and equality and belonging--all in a non-judgmental way. I look forward to volunteering with this community on Saturday morning all week, and somehow feel even better when we’re all together working, shoulder-to-shoulder." – John A

Corporate & Group Volunteer Opportunities
Are you an employer, organization, or highly motivated individual looking for a group volunteer or team building opportunity for your staff, family, friends, etc.? We offer two opportunities!
1) Join us at Guadalupe Gardens for our Saturday program. This is hands down the best way to get the Neighborhood Hands experience. Learn more about this opportunity and get in touch.
2) Host a Hygiene Kit Assembly Drive. Hosting a kit drive is a perfect activity for families, friends, schools, and offices. We distribute hygiene kits to our participants experiencing homelessness as part of our outreach efforts. Hygiene kits contain essentials like soap, deodorant, shampoo, toothbrushes, and feminine products and we also collect warming kits that contain rain ponchos, warm socks, and blankets.
Download this kit list to learn how you can supply the unhoused neighbors in your community with the daily essentials of living.
Email us for more information and to schedule a Neighborhood Hands presentation for your group to inspire your hygiene kit drive (in person or virtual).
